Conscious Contact with Our Guides

Everyone can do this, after all they are your guides.  This means they are there for you, listening to you and are better able to assist you, if you acknowledge and listen back.  Best of all you do not need a clairvoyant or divination tools to have continual one on one contact with your Angels.
 

All it really takes is a desire, the right intent, patience and graceful, calm determination.  Just don't give up, regardless of what your logic tells you.  When it begins to put defeatism in your way, just thank it for sharing and firmly let it know you are going to continue on until you have reached your goal, even if this means until the heavens fall in.  And stick by what you say.

Following, I will give you a technique that is sometimes used to make contact and converse with your guides and even meet with your Higher Self.

  1. Get a notepad or your journal, which everyone should invest in and your power pen or pencil.  You will keep it within comfortable reach, but out of your way.
  2. Have a glass or bottle of water close by that you will keep for later.
  3. It is helpful to add a sprig of mint to your water for energetic reasons.
  4. Find a suitable place (to you - outside is great as long as you resonate with it) where you will not be disturbed for 20-30 minutes (or more).
  5. Relax and get comfortable. Sit or lay down.
  6. Mentally with emotion or out loud (best) Acknowledge to your
    guide(s) that you believe they are there and ready to make contact with you as much as you with them.
  7. Politely and lovingly request that your guides come close now and to be with you; work with you.
  8. Ask your logic to step aside for now and allow yourself to feel open to receive whatever is there to be received.
  9. Focus on your breath as you breathe deeply down into your abdomen and as you exhale (through your mouth) feel any tension being released.
  10. Take your time and slowly without breaks move your focus to your feet and begin to breathe out any tension from your toes (slowly and steadily) up to the top of your head, (slowly and gently) checking each muscle along the way and (slowly, calmly) make any adjustments to relax them as you (slowly, but continually) move up your body. Keep your breath as your power tool for now.  (Don't miss relaxing your tongue, jaws, eyelids, ears, nose and forehead up to the top of your head).
  11. Give Spirit the privilege to Lead:  For right now do not guide what you may received, do not embellish your experience right now (you are trying not to dominate the conversation at this point), just allow it to be whatever it may turn out to be which might be an internal sound, a physical snap, crack or pop, a color or a smell.  It does not matter what it is; what matter is that it is!  You may receive full comprehensible guidance in an internal sentence or thought.
  12. After you have received a message, regardless of its apparent size or importance, be thankful and express your gratitude to your
    guide(s) and angel(s).
  13. Feel their "you are welcome."
  14. While still in the contemplative state, ask your guides if they would like to take a journey with you, and wait for the response.
  15. Upon their acceptance, inform them you are building a lush bubble and when it is complete within your mind's eye, step in and invite them inside with you.
  16. As you travel through space and time, notice the earth and all upon it becoming smaller but emitting love and blessings from its core.
  17. Travel until you see a bright light in the atmosphere about you.  Travel into the center of this light and politely ask your Guides to introduce you to your Higher Self now.
  18. Be open to receive, just as you were when you met your guides and angels.
  19. Listen, feel and watch. Allow communication from any of the many ways, sending  feelings, visuals, or speaking. Be open to anything they offer; don't analyze what you get, allow it to simply happen.
  20. Before you say your "thank you and I look forward to 'seeing' you again soon," ask that your water be charged with that which they know you need for Spiritual Growth and Physical Health.
  21. Prepare to return by looking into the light once more just before you get back into the bubble if you stepped out during your journey.  Put your bubble into reverse and gently float back into the earths atmosphere and back down beside yourself.
  22. Feel yourself gently being absorbed back into yourself.
  23. Feel your physical body becoming animated with life's energy and beginning at the top of your head and moving to your toes breathe in through your mouth until your physical form feels fully alive and awake.
  24. If necessary, you can see yourself fitting back into each part of your physical form as you would put your hand into a glove, fitting each finger in its proper place.
  25. When ready, take a sip of water to better ground yourself.
  26. Write your experiences down with as many details as you can remember, in your journal.
     

Keeping a Sacred Balance is the best attitude while avoiding a too serious and pressure driven intent while using this technique, but also releasing any flippant attitudes the process or what you receive.  Remaining thankful and grateful will increase and enhance your experiences.
