How do you define a good psychic reading?

A good psychic reading:

• Combines accurate insight with practical advice;

• Fosters hope and inspiration;

• Encourages self-examination;

• Highlights your gifts and abilities; and

• Respects your free will and power to change.

How can you do a reading without the person present?

Intuition is not bound by the limitations of time or space. Your five outer senses tell you that two objects are not touching if they are in different rooms, and on the physical level, that's true, of course. The intuition knows that, on a deeper level, all people -- in fact, all things -- are always touching, always connected. The very purpose of the inner senses is to give one ‘feedback’ from this ‘inner world’ of energy that connects us with each other and all that is.

The intuition recognizes that there is no wall or distance between you and any knowledge important to you.

Within the sound of your voice - even in your name the intuition can touch and connect to you just the same as if you were in the same room.

Why do I have to ask questions? Shouldn't a Psychic already know what I want to ask?

A good reading requires that you and the psychic both participate. The more aware you are of the issues and questions that you have the more effective the reading. Your focus helps guide the psychic’s inner vision to pinpoint the information you need right now. Without a focus to the reading, a psychic will still receive pertinent information, but perhaps not always in the specific areas you had in mind.

What's the difference between intuition and psychic ability?

The difference is one of interpretation. Some will insist that intuition is a gut feeling alone with no additional information where as psychic messages contain sound, touch and sight as well. 

Intuition is usually more accurate than we recognize, but it's more of an impression than a precise insight. Everyone has intuitive feelings, but as a culture we've trained ourselves to ignore them.

Psychic ability, on the other hand, is the refined use of intuition. It is more active and precise. Psychic insight moves the intuition to the next level and leaves out the distractions.  This is the part that would require practice, trust and, very often, training.

Can a Psychic reunite me and my loved one?

One cannot control the natural unfolding of another’s life. You are the only one in charge of your life. A Psychic can help you gain perspective and understanding so you can direct your life with both eyes open.

Do real Psychics do love spells?

A “love” spell gives one the impression that we have power over the God given free will and choice of another which is contrary to Divine Order. Prayer said for the highest and best outcome for all concerned is a very powerful daily practice.  Many people will light a candle or do a simple ‘ritual’ when saying their daily affirmations to simply help reinforce the affirmation – this is the best exchange for a spell!

There are times in our life we may find we need an added boost or solicit help from an outside source in any particular situation.  When you find that you are having difficulty creating in your life, there is nothing wrong with asking help from an outside provider as long as your requests are reasonable and you are willing to back up with your energy and what is being asked for and make the necessary inner preparations to receive that which is being brought to you.

The spells that I use are based on asking for certain things for you and I do not attempt to corrupt or over-ride another's free will.  I know this is useless in the long run and can create havoc for my client and the other person involved, as well as come back to me to straighten out and balance.

In spell work, I use reverence number one.  Communications are used with certain herbs according to their vibrations.  It is all a matter of energy and combining certain energies, at particular times and with the right conditions and intent to create that which you wish to influence the world within and around you.

Does spell work replace affirmations or vice versa?  We are speaking of apples and oranges here.  Spell work and affirmations are both means of putting your intent to work to create a specific result, just as both apples and oranges are fruit.

Spells are good to use with affirmations and prayer.  One does not necessarily replace the other.  For instance, if you wished to get a certain job, I might suggest that you start to do affirmations to get this job by stating that you are worthy, you deserve it, it comes to you easily and joyously and supplies you with abundant pay.

I also, might suggest that as well as doing the affirmations, we do a spell, call on the Powers of Nature or the forces ruling over human prosperity to join us in creating what we desire.

Affirmations call forth the power within your own being, activate it, reinforce it and focus it on an outcome as though it has already manifested.  Affirmations create a cup (which represents the desired result), and fills it with your life energy to animate and manifest it.   The fulfillment of an affirmation may and generally does pull in or create other energies to manifest with; however, the higher self of the individual is the director and producer in pulling together what is required, rather than the affirmer.

Spells use the energies within us, focus on the desired results, command results to appear, and may solicit assistance from the forces surrounding us or the object of our desire.  A spell creates a cup (the desired result) and fills that cup with the petitioner's energy and draws in the energy of that which is desired to assist in filling it and animate/manifesting it with.  The practitioner is the director and producer of the manifestation.

It was predicted I would meet someone new. Why hasn't that happened yet?

If it was said you will enter a new relationship in the Fall, this doesn't mean the Psychic has somehow summoned this event into your life. For something or someone to enter your life, you may find that you have to make a personal shift. Life is an act of creation, a partnership between you and the Divine. You have to do your part. Events don't just happen; you make them happen.

Insight must be followed with action. Along with psychic insights, you may be advised to do some ‘inner work’ to help you create the relationship that you want. The list below represents examples of areas that might need to be reinforced, strengthened and acted upon.

Timing is a state of readiness, not the ticking of the secondhand. How ready are we for a relationship? What changes do we need to make first? What preparations need to be made?

You may have to let go of a hurt you experienced in a previous relationship.

You may need to strengthen your self-confidence and build your sense of inner security. You will attract a healthy relationship when you truly believe you deserve one!

Creating some time and space for a relationship may be necessary by working less or managing your personal time differently. To have and maintain a relationship, you must make room for it.

You may need to develop a new concept of what a relationship is. Some of us hold onto an old idea, often a broken idea of what a relationship is, based on our parents' or family's example.

How can I make her or him love me?

We cannot make someone love us. Sometimes a person will try to force things to happen in their life, especially in matters of the heart.   Once can cause another to be attracted to them and even cause another to believe they are in love with another.  However, this generally backfires as the individual will sooner or later return to knowing that that something is missing in the relationship and will generally act upon that knowing.

The best way to attract love is to hold a clear idea in your mind of the qualities you're looking for in a partner and to develop a good, loving relationship with yourself.

Then, let God do his/her work. That is the real magic.

The old phrase “God works in mysterious ways” is a good thing to keep in mind. We often assume too quickly that our life isn’t working. We get impatient. We should instead learn to affirm what we need for our best is ‘on its way’, and step aside to let Divine Intelligence do the work. Even though you can't see immediate results in your life, it doesn't mean that God isn't working backstage right this moment assisting your life's projects.

Are all Psychics born with their gift?

Most psychics are born with a natural aptitude, the same way another person might be born with musical talent. But even those with a natural musical talent, it can fade without cherishing it and without practice. And even if you have less in natural ability, with training and diligence, you can still learn to play the piano well. The same is true with psychic ability.
 

If a Psychic foresees something really bad in my future, will they tell me?

It's the circumstances that lead up to events as much as the event itself that are important. For example, if a Psychic sees a car accident, they would suggest you drive carefully and slow down in other areas of you life, as well. They most likely would not say "I see a car accident". Events don't stand by themselves. They are connected to our patterns of thinking and the ways we treat ourselves.

Research suggests that it's possible to predict an accident ahead of time. Increasing patterns of stress in job, family, home and finances are noted in the lives of accident victims before the accidents occurred. The "pile up" is already happening in their lives and the accident reflects that. This ‘pile up’ is what the Psychic would see and make the focus of the reading. Psychics have trained themselves to look for what one ‘needs to know’ and a clear ‘warning’ about the pile up of stress and events that are building up is what they would talk to you about, and in many cases, they may not see the car accident event itself.

The experiences in life that we label "bad" are often gifts in disguise. Though they're difficult, they can serve as a wake-up call to correct our lives and return us to a state of balance, allowing us to pursue paths of ever greater fulfillment.

If a Psychic foresees something in my future that I don’t like, can I change it? Is my future fixed?

Life has an open door policy. There are an infinite number of ways to approach life's challenges.

This needs to be clear: You control your life. When a psychic sees future events, they are seeing the most likely results of the current momentum in your life. Momentum is one’s spiritual velocity; it’s the course we set forth by our motivations, intentions and beliefs. Any momentum you have created, you can un-create and, ultimately, change the final outcome.

It would be rare for a Psychic to simply say “You will loose your job next year”. Your Psychic will see more about the internal and external conditions that would lead to that event. This would be their focus and direction of the reading. To empower you to make the best choices to ‘uncreate’ your current momentum, if that is, indeed, what you ultimately wish to do!

How accurate are your Psychic's readings?

Questions about accuracy are often based on the assumption that your future is fixed. Let's say a psychic predicts that a major shift in you career will occur in about a year. But when that year is up, you find yourself at the same job doing the same work. You'd say the prediction was inaccurate, right?

Unfortunately, it's not always so simple. Accuracy is very important in a psychic reading (and the Certified Psychics are very accurate, even by the most strict definitions) but, in your life, free will is supreme.

Psychics do not usually see an unchangeable, predetermined event. They see the patterns at work in your life and how and when they are likely to manifest into certain events -- if your current momentum remains unchanged.

So, at the end of the year, when you're still in the same job, you might tell yourself that the psychic was inaccurate. But, then, two months later that promotion still comes through. Will you remember the psychic's prediction then?

If that's true, why do some psychics promote themselves as, say, "96% accurate"?

Measuring psychic accuracy in strictly objective ways -- especially in dealing with future events and life patterns -- isn't perfectly suited to the nature of the work (see previous question). Since our culture wants concrete numbers and measurements, many psychics test themselves and describe their accuracy in those terms.

Let’s broaden the definition of psychic accuracy to better reflect the nature of psychic insight. Accuracy must also reflect the psychic's ability to offer insights that you can apply in a practical manner. You would not be told "Your relationship is coming to an end," without explaining why that is being seen. Whether it's overwhelming job responsibilities or a communication breakdown, why an event is happening is more important than whether it will happen.

When you understand why, you can begin to make a change. Accuracy by the dictionary's Latin definition means to attend to or care for. Accuracy goes beyond just citing key details. It points to what needs attention in our lives. For many Psychic’s the best measure is by the positive impact on the lives of those they help each day.

When a Psychic see something in my future, can they tell me when it will happen?

They usually give you a range of time (i.e. 3 to 6 months) as a guideline.

The intuition perceives patterns and rhythms. We experience a change of seasons in our lives like nature does. Time doesn't run in a straight line on which you can pinpoint an event. Most Psychics can feel events in relationship to the cycles in your life. If you significantly alter those rhythms, your life readjusts and events might occur sooner or later as a result.

Remember that the Divine has a keen sense of rhythm in helping to orchestrate your life.

Why are some people psychic and not others?

Psychic ability is often referred to as a gift. It is a gift in the same was as hearing and physical sight are  gifts.  Some have better use of these attributes than others for various reasons.  I.e., my sight might be 20/85 while yours is 20/20.  This would give you better sight than me if I were not to use something to improve my sight.

Psychic insight is available to all. Like a talent for music or song, it is a basic natural talent we all have. As easily as we think, we intuit. Sometimes we complain that there are no guidebooks on how to live a soulful, meaningful life. But, when you were born, you possessed intuition, a guide and advisor.  With practice and patient determination, you too can increase what you already have.

Just as riding a bike or any other activity that requires the use of your skills, one has to have an interest in it to learn.  Some can just get on the bike and begin to ride or hop into the pool and swim.  Others have to work harder at it, and so it is with using your psychic abilities.  You can not judge yourself by another's progress and it surely does not mean that you can not learn and train yourself to be as good as your neighbor if you have the desire and interest to do so.

Why can't I see what a Psychic sees?

There is no reason you can't. Many people have psychic insight, but they don't recognize it or know how to translate what they see. The language of the inner senses is imagery, sound and feeling. Like learning a foreign language, it requires study and practice.

Even those who practice and use their psychic abilities see things differently.  Just as when a car accident occurs and the presiding officer tries to find out what happened.  The officer will find that as many people as have witnessed the accident will have seen it in different degrees and have a different picture to relate.

Where there is any action, not everything will be seen with the same degree of attention by all people.

Are psychics more spiritually advanced than other people?

Not necessarily! When consulting with anyone for any service, always use discernment.

While psychic ability contains the understanding and application of certain metaphysical laws, advanced spirituality is not really a requirement. I think you'll find that most psychics are interesting, compassionate and ethical people with a spiritual focus in life -- but not always! Psychics are people too. We face all the life challenges everyone else does.

Don't turn off your discrimination because you're talking with a psychic.
